We’re your average work-out-of-your-garage kind of people… well except we don’t have garages.
Andrew Paradies and Dan Preston came together in 2005 with a vision to help people with a better way to share and make money from their digital images. Two years later, and a couple of ulcers (just kidding!), we have created a photo sharing site that we think can do just that.
We are working and changing things in the beta version DAILY to try to make Photrade the best photo sharing and selling site on the web. If you are a blogger, photographer, or just plain old digital photo taker, we want you to have everything you need from prints to ads at Photrade.
We hope you love our site, and if you do please tell us… and if you don’t, we’d like to hear why. We’re committed to making this the best experience for our users. Yes, we are in beta and, yes, you can get on a list for an invite. Check out Photrade for more details.
So leave us a comment, send us an email, and stop back to this blog often for updates on the beta and, as always, amazing photos from our users!
I’m extremely excited to report that it’s one week until we launch the new service. The new site will continue to be invitation only for the time being as we’ll be working hard to implement photraders’ feedback before opening it to the public.
It’s been a really tough period for the Photrade team as everyone has been cranking to get the new user interface out the door. Our engineers have literally been doing 15-17 hour days for longer than I’d like to remember (although I’m sure they also would rather not think about it!). They’ve done a killer job of working through a phenomenal amount of code… who knew our site had so many lines! As you can probably tell, I’m really grateful to their efforts to making Photrade what it has become and what I’m so excited to share with you on June 1.
So with all of that said, I’m happy to report we’re going to be releasing an entirely new interface. In addition, we’re releasing tons of bug fixes and updates to existing functionality. We’ve heard your voices telling us what needs to change and by golly we’re making it happen. For example, in this upcoming release we’ve greatly improved photo management and custom watermarking.
In general, I think you’ll find the site has new life and I hope your experience with it is as positive as mine has been with testing it out pre-release. As always, we will love to hear your feedback as we work hard to improve Photrade for everyone. If you’d like to contact me personally with any of your thoughts.
